If you like to camp but don't have the cash for a camper, or perhaps backpacking and hiking is more your thing, then you need a tent or other simple shelter. Like so many other things you need for your camping / hiking adventure there are so many different kinds of tents and tent accessories to consider. If you are traveling super light then perhaps a Bivy Sack is more your speed, crawl in, zip up, and you have a weather and bug resistent instant shelter with no fuss. Perhaps that coffin feeling isn't for you, then maybe a tent is more your style. Tents come in a variety of shapes and sizes for a variety of different purposes. 3-season tents are good for Spring, Summer, and Fall. They are generally not as warm as 4-season tents and do not have the vestibules for gear and to keep out the weather that 4-season tents have. Tents come in a lot of different sizes from 1 person to a whole family. Keep in mind that tents for backpacking are designed minimally space wise so a 3 person tent may not be big enough for the average 3 people and their gear unless you don't mind spooning your neighbor. Maybe you just need a bug shelter for your backyard or campsite, or maybe a simpler shelter like a specialized tarp, lean-to, or emergency shelter for those winter hikes. Perhaps you are looking for tent accessories? There are so many tents and accessories for your tenting experience to choice from. Below are links to some gear we think you might like.
Choose your tent or shelter wisely based on the intended use, and start your adventure today. To quote Warren Miller, "Remember, if you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do."
